Technology Details:
IGFRI-DC-215 notified and released in 2023 for commercial cultivation in North Transitional Zone (Zone-8; Dharwad, Belgaum and Haveri) of Karnataka State. The developed fodder cowpea variety with higher green fodder yields (30-32 t/ha) and stover yield (3.5-4.0 t/ha) is a semi-erect to erect type that can fit well into intercropping system with annual cereal crops like Maize etc. It is moderately resistant to rust and aphids.
